Marketing: The art of steering belief and action, infinitely complex like anything involving humans.
Chess: Endlessly fascinating, connects people across cultures and generations.
Climbing: A calisthenics workout I don’t have to force myself to do, feels more like a puzzle than the gym.
Stand-up comedy: Never done it myself, but admire anyone who does it. Jokes only work once (for the most part), so you have to throw away your best work. An awesome craft.
Writing: There are few better ways to learn something than to teach it. Writing about something—whether it’s journaling about my own thoughts or creating educational content, helps me figure out what I already know.
Reading: One of the few things nowadays that can’t run in the background while you do something else. An island of focus in a sea of distraction.
Specialty coffee: Love the complexity of a great coffee. Hate that it’s turned me into a snob who can’t drink average coffee.
Wine: I really like wine and have vowed to never learn much about it. Why? Can’t have normal wine ruined like coffee.
